The garden welcomes visitors with roses, perennials, and seasonal flowers, all bursting with the kind of hues only Hokkaido’s cool climate can offer. In May, tulips and daffodils herald the arrival of spring. In June, perennials burst into a riot of color against the green background of the forest. July brings showy roses and neat Annabelle Hydrangeas; August, cheerful sunflowers and adorable lilies. In September, visitors can enjoy fall flowers and leaves.
When you’re in a log cabin amid Nidom’s flower gardens and lawns, it hard to imagine that you’re still in Japan. To make sure the scenery is perfect whenever you visit, two dedicated gardeners maintain the gardens year-round.
